Review: Catching Jordan - Miranda Kenneally

This book shows us that a girl can also aspire to play 'boy' sports. I guess I liked this book a lot because Jordan reminded me of myself a lot, this is not about me playing a 'boys' sport. It's more about loving a sport so much that all other things in life go on a hold to be able to keep doing it. 

Let's talk about the characters for a while. Loved the guys, you can see that they adore our main character Jordan; they would do anything to protect her (even though Jordan feels like one of the guys). The have very different attitude; we have the bitchy -look at me I’m hot- girls and the typical girls next door.

Of course a good book, even a book about sports needs a love triangle. Have to say that I fell in love with the two guys she crushes on; they are so sweet and caring and have amaaaazing body's. Who wouldn't want that? 

We also get to meet Jordan's family. It's a typical -dad is boss- family, everything dad says happens. So when dad says; 'Jordan can't play football anymore', all hell breaks loose. It's interesting to watch and read how this relationship grows overtime. 

Please be aware that this story is about so much more than football. Even if you don't like the sport, this could definitely be a good book for you! The story is all about friendship, family, love and finding out who you are and what you want to do with your life. I promise you'll get sucked in and don't want to get out once you begin reading. 

I also just learned that there will be two companion novels (one of them is still in the making). Can't wait to start the next one; Stealing Parker.
